This patch was designed for the Make Controller Kit from Making Things and gives you a full control of all parameters available via OSC throught a sexy interface.
N256 Standalone Application N256 is a neural network controller synthesizer.
The experimental system of controller allows the movement of 256 sinusoidal oscillators with a neural network. It is possible to have a non-linear system control of 16 parameters in real time, with a mouse controller lcd.

basically there are only 3 messages:
browse: browse for available services of type _osc._udp
resolve name: get hostname and port number from service name
register name port: register and a service of type _osc._udp with specificied name and UDP port number

Main features include: subsample accurate scheduling, multichannel output, granulation of multiple soundfiles at the same time (with interpolation of two sources per grain), parameter randomisation and sequencing, control via OSC, preset management, preset interpolation. Its modular architecture makes it possible to easily extend it with new algorithms for grain scheduling and parameter control.

It's similar in concept to the Audiomulch Metasurface, Color blobs and the Hipnoscope but implements a gravitational system, allowing you to represent presets with variable sized balls. As you move around the space, the size of the balls and their proximity to the mouse cursor affects the weight of each preset in the interpolated output.
